Title: | Laparoscopic cholecystjejunostomy as palliation for obstructive jaundice in inoperable carcinoma of pancreas. | Austin Authors: | Fletcher, D R;Jones, Robert M | Affiliation: | Surgery (University of Melbourne) | Issue Date: | 6-May-1992 | Publication information: | Surgical Endoscopy; 6(3): 147-9 | Abstract: | Malignant obstructive jaundice can be palliated by either surgical bypass, which has the advantage of long-term patency, or by stent placement, which has the advantage of initial lower morbidity and mortality. We describe a technique, laparoscopic cholecystjejunostomy, which has the advantage of both. We predict that laparoscopic surgery, which has already had a major impact on biliary stone surgery, will also have a major impact on interventional endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography. | URI: | https://ahro.austin.org.au/austinjspui/handle/1/9587 | ORCID: | Journal: | Surgical Endoscopy | URL: | https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/1380188 | Type: | Journal Article | Subjects: | Cholecystostomy.methods Cholestasis.etiology.surgery Female Humans Jejunostomy.methods Laparoscopy Middle Aged Palliative Care.methods Pancreatic Neoplasms.complications Surgical Staplers |
