Platypnoea-orthodeoxia syndrome has the pathognomonic clinical findings of dyspnoea and arterial hypoxaemia relieved by recumbency. Platypnoea-orthodeoxia syndrome is an important diagnosis to consider when investigating hypoxia without an obvious cause.en
