Abstract: A technique of locating the internal mammary artery behind the phrenic nerve is described, which extends the application of internal mammary artery grafting to the lateral wall of the left ventricle. The technique also facilitates the performance of the posterolateral anastomosis between the internal mammary and circumflex coronary arteries.
